Eid Mubarak from American Palestinian Women’s Association!

25 Oct

APWA would like to wish a blessed “Eid al-Adha” or “Great Eid” to Muslim and non Muslim members and supporters.  “Eid al-Adha” meaning “Festival of Sacrifice” is based on a shared Abrahamic story on faith, devotion and sacrifice.

“Eid Al Adha” commemorates the willingness of prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his eldest son Ismail as an act of love and obedience to God. Sayednah Ibrahim was spared by Allah’s mercy (God) and hence Muslims celebrate this fete. “Eid Al- Adha” is commemorated by Muslims and Druze world wide at the end of the annual Hajj or pilgrimage.
