APWA School Supplies Drive for Palestinian Children in Gaza August 14 – September 30, 2014

7 Aug

The American Palestinian Women’s Association (APWA) is organizing a School Supplies Drive for children in Gaza, Palestine. Our objective is to provide school supplies to 300 students in Elementary, Middle and High School for the upcoming school year. Be it a backpack to carry their school books, pencils and crayons to write and draw, notebooks to do their homework – each donated item will bring a little bit of joy, and help them meet their educational obligation. Gaza children and their families have been subjected to immense suffering – your generous gift will let them know we care.

Below is a list of requested donations

  • Backpacks and Pencil cases
  • Pens, Pencils and Colored Pencils
  • Crayons, Highlighters and Markets
  • Erasers and Sharpeners
  • Glue sticks, Calculators, Scissors and Rulers
  • Binders, Folders and Dividers
  • Spiral Notebooks and General Notebooks

Where:

St Alban’s Church, The Rector’s House Screened-In Porch across from the Bishop’s Garden at the National Cathedral,  3001 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington DC 20016
